Dorset’s third annual Wilding Weekend will take place near Beaminster on 15th and 16th June. A wonderful, family-friendly experience with a wild garden to explore, wildflower meadows, a cascade of ponds, insect homes and a medieval style marshland walkway. There will be talks, tours, stalls and delicious food and drink.

• Dates & Timing: 15th and 16th June, 2024, from 10.30am to 4.30pm
• Cost: £8 for adult and £4 for a child (Entry proceeds go to the National Garden Scheme)

• Food: Delicious locally sourced lunches – by Mello View, as well as cakes, scones and ice-creams available
• Drinks: Clipper Teas van selling teas and coffees, as well as home-made elderflower cordial and other soft drinks
• Tours: There will be regular guided tours of the site
• Stalls: Books, cards and bee-friendly plants for sale, as well as stalls with information on conservation and wildlife
• Speakers and performers: These include well known conservation writers, campaigners and wildlife experts – see website for further details. On Sunday only there will be a giant puppet performance, highlighting the issues of climate change and biodiversity loss.
• Conservation charities: Any additional funds raised will be donated to The Bumblebee Trust, Butterfly Conservation and the Dorset Mammals Group.
• Parking: Available in a nearby field
